One of a kind original by local award-winning artist with growing collector base internationally. The piece depicts an abstracted forest. Foliage Melody is an abstraction of trees and vegetation in a forest. Loose washes and dripped paint in a watercolor style were used to create the underlying background. Carefully painted and shaded details, somewhat like an organic curved cubism, created the major spaces and forms in the piece. Accents and further details were added using acrylic extrusion and elastic gel striped pours. The overall effect is an almost magical interplay of pattern, form, light and texture. Extruded reliefs and complex striped pour patterns interact seamlessly with painted and shaded details. Complex rhythms emerge and the painting seems to almost move. A piece to fascinate the eye for years.
