Art marker and micron pen on acid free paper. Shoreline Entangle is a mixture of two drawing styles. Large areas of color applied as marker ink washes define the different areas of the seascape. More finely detailed and layered marker patterns evoke the variations in color and transparency of water. The last levels of detail are very fine and tiny curves and patterns that both mimic the edges of the marker strokes and suggest the foamy patterns and fine scale ripples in water. The Title "Beach Entangle" refers to the tangled pattern of the fine lines. It is also a sly reference to entanglement concepts in Macromolecules, where entangled molecules twine around one another without "crossing" (excluded from the same space). I cannot help myself with the Polymer ideas - they just sneak in.
