Night Crossing is a small format oil painting on artists panel, 5 by 7 inches. It is an impression compiled from many night time ferry rides across the Long Island Sound. Depending on moonrise, the moon will often be a bit to the East over open water, and even a slight haze can obscure the landscape and lights on the Long Island size which is very sparsely populated on the East End of the North Fork.
